I am very pleased to welcome you to the new website of the Lao Disabled Peoples' Association.
To become a real web site of LDPA We the media relations team spend our time to learn the possibility of each information and activities that we are holding and the news of each activities.
We all know that LDPA is a young and new association but we have responsibilities on PWDs in lao Nation wide. We will serve and provide information for all disabled in laos but first we have to research the needs of them. (Read more>>)

IT Provided job options for the disabled
Both able – bodied and disabled people will soon have equal job opportunities in the field of information technology, according to information from the Lao disabled people Association ( LDPA ). Yesterday more than 60 disabled people began two day information technology course at the Ministry of Lab our and social welfare in Vientiane. The objective of the course are to introduce the possibilities of information technology , to provide basic computer training and to provide opportunities for visually impaired people thought IT.(Read more)
Wheelchair basketball debuts in new sports hall
The national rehabilitation center is hosting the 1 st Lao international wheelchair basketball tournament from January 15 th to 16 th, at its new indoor sport building. There are four disabled basketball teams, with the Lao hosts competing against Japanese Thai and Malaysian teams. The tournament it meant to foster friendship and fitness and improve the athletes’ skill. The new facility for disabled was formally handed over at ceremony yesterday with the Grant assistant for the grass-roots Human Security project signing the facilities over to the government. The sport of lao disabled people is supported by ADDP (Japan)
Lao Disabled people have many skills to work if this work is- appropriated their disability they will do good work and patient for their job. It is similar the non-disabled people. Sports is one section the Lao Disabled people like to play : wheelchair basketball, badminton, table tennis, weighting, running and so on. Sports help enhancing physical and mental rehabilitation as well as integrate disabled people to take part in various activities... (Read more >>)
