Lao Disabled people have many skills to work if this work is- appropriated their disability they will do good work and patient for their job. It is similar the non-disabled people. Sports is one section the Lao Disabled people like to play : wheelchair basketball, badminton, table tennis, weighting, running and so on. Sports help enhancing physical and mental rehabilitation as well as integrate disabled people to take part in various activities. Sport team of Lao Disabled People Association( LDPA ) also participated regional and international games and can grasp many medals. It’s very important to promote the Lao PDR in the regional and international events. At the present, the government extremely pays much more attention to boost sports activities and realizes the importance about disabled people sports especially, the National Committee for Disable People and LDPA always promote and encourage the Lao disable people to turn to play sports more and more.

It is very crucial for Disabled People to practice sports in order to participate the regional and international game in the future especially, the Paralympics in 2009 in Lao PDR. Mr. Thongchanh THEPSOMPHOU, the Director of NRC has offered the area to construct this Indoor Stadium.

On the 3 / 4 / 200 at the meeting room of ministry labor and social welfare ,on behalf the meeting , the president of the meeting, Mr. Leka KANGNA the minister of ministry labor and social welfare, the president of the NCDP and the participants from other concerned :

• Mr. Sisavath KOMPHONE the secretary of the NCDP
• Mr. Boualane SIRIPANNHA the vice president of national committee for Lao sport , the president of Lao sport for disabled.
• Mr. Dr Thongchanh THEPSOMPHOU the director of NRC.
• Mr. Dr Khemhphet VANHTHANOUVONG the committee of Lao sport for disabled.
• Mr. Bounviene LUANGNHOT the vice president of LDPA.
• Mrs. Chanpheng SIVILA the vice president of LDPA.
• Mr. Sinoy PHENGPHOMKONG the committee of Lao sport for disable, the president of Olympic special
• Mr. Phetsamone PHENGSAVANH the vice war veteran department, who leader people with disability.

The Objective: To discuss and share ideas where the Indoor Stadium will be constructed?

The meeting agreed :

• The place to construct the indoor stadium for disabled people is the land at NRC due to the inform document to Japan embassy in Lao PDR .
• The NCDP secretary together with The Lao sport committee for people with disability make agreement and had signed to receive the land from the NRC as specified in regulation.
• Take agreement to construct the indoor stadium and set up the responsible committee for the construction.
• The committee of Lao sport for disabled has to determine the regulation for the management and usages the Indoor Stadium.

This significant progress happened because the cooperation from various sections the government both Lao and Japan as well as others NGOs and people in the society.
