Connecting Lao Disabled People with the World
The WB project gives the LDPA greater capacity to use modern technology to engage LDPA members, particularly youth, in a civil dialogue with policy makers.
The Project piggy backs on the goals of the RLC through expanding the coverage of RLC programs to 8 provincial radio stations and to stream shows over the internet.
DP will have the opportunity to engage in political and decision making processes that will ensure the capacity to become leaders. Firstly, in disability rights. Secondly, in the interests of human rights and the development of the villages and districts in which they live.
Documenting this process over the internet will ensure Significant international interest is created to support Disability Rights in Lao PDR.
It will also provide an opportunity for international audiences to feedback their responses to the LDPA and provide support directly on village and district levels.
Objectives:
- Greater capacity of PWD to communicate their needs to policy-makers.
- Increased awareness of disability rights issues in Lao PDR both nationally and internationally.
- To promote PWD as leaders of community development.
