Always Coming in Second in Beauty Pagents? Finally Get First Place

Pageant for teenagers

Did you know that American beauty pageants began as early as 1854? P.T. Barnum held the first United States pageant that year, and the trend went global in 1926 with the “International Pageant of Pulchritude.” The worldwide pageant may be referred to by other names, including the International Beauty Contest, or the Miss Universe Contest. Whatever you choose to call it, getting into top competition takes time, patience, and devotion. Laziness and a lack of motivation are not going to get you anywhere, so what can you do to prepare?

Start with the Basics

As with anything else, you will want to learn the basics. Good writing starts with an understanding of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. Seasoned writers can stylistically manipulate these basics, but they are going to do it incorrectly if they do not understand the rules first. Similarly, contestants should start simple. Pageants showcase contestant makeup, hair, swimsuits, and gowns. Most pageants include an interview, and a short talent portion. Entering local beauty pageants, and picking up makeup tips, hair tips, and other pageant tips for girls is a good start.

Stand Out

International contests welcome girls and women from hundreds, even thousands, of pageants. The Miss America pageant, for example, determines a final winner after up to 1,200 regional and state competitions. That means, once you have the basics down, you need to stand out. Some of the greatest opportunities to stand out are pageant interviews. Professional pageant coaches can help girls prepare with mock pageant interview questions and answers.

Pageant tips for girls begin simple. After tackling the basics and having an understanding of competitions, hair, and makeup, girls and women alike need to work on sticking out, and rising above the crowd.

I think another good tip is to do some soul searching and find out who you are truly doing it for. if your answer is anyone but “me,” you need to seriously rethink what you’re doing. so many people are doing it for parents, their heart’s not in it
